DALLAS — Children’s Medical Center Dallas has accepted two copies of The Silence Between Two Heartbeats for its Family Resource Library, extending access to a parent’s account of neonatal intensive care and family caregiving.
The memoir traces a family’s experience after a difficult birth and the diagnosis of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. Through the father’s account of a 21-day NICU stay and the care that followed, the book offers a lived-experience perspective that can sit alongside clinical information available to families.
The Dallas Library team confirmed that it could accept two copies and planned to share one with Plano. The author later received Amazon delivery confirmation for the two copies in Dallas. The book is presented as a family narrative rather than medical advice.
